Short Edition in America is no longer a pipe dream. Short Edition, the short story dispenser which allows users to print free stories at the touch of a button has been endorsed by Hollywood film director, Francis Ford Coppola.

The Oscar winner best known for his films, Apocalypse Now and The Godfather, first experienced the machine on a trip to France and soon fell in love with the concept.

Since then, Mr Coppola has become an investor in the Short Edition business and showcases the machine in his café, Zoetrope in San Francisco.

Mr Coppola said: “A short story is a very good basis for a movie because a short story you read in one sitting and a movie you see in one sitting. I love the fact that it is free art and that it gives you something.”
